With only 20 days to go to crunch time with uni and a huge list of things to do and the size of it really not getting much smaller, i've been really contemplating what it is that's making all of this worth it. what is fashion? is it all just trends and price tags?or is there something far less superficial about this particular industry i'm studying for?
and after multiple train rides, sewing sessions and wardrobe cleanouts i realised something. whether it was just me or more (comments on this would be appreciated), i came to the conclusion that for me, fashion is a form of story telling. you have a setting. you have characters. and in the best pieces you have history and story. (more explanation will come as i figure it out mysrlf) but what are your thoughts? do you have a favourite piece of clothing that tells a story? a family heirloom perhaps or maybe even a piece you dont have but want for the story it tells? it all sounds a bit deep for a coat or a dress but is it all really that far from the truth?

Choppers remorse?
As i said earlier, beautiful images of long hair are making me want it all back and these amazing illustrations by Laura Laine certainly aren't helping. Laine has been one of my favourite illustrators fro a long time now, so i couldn't possibly start a blog with abit of Laine action to begin with. definitely check out her site.

oh to flip my hair again..
I recently cut my hair from chest length to a ear length pixie crop (long hair tangles got the best of me) but this series by Marc Laroche is making me want long locks again. Honestly who would have thought tossed hair could look so incredible.

Take two.
Here we go again. I left the blog thinking i would come back in a week or two, but as the weeks went on i realised i needed to figure out what i really wanted to say. Even if nobody reads it. As I near the end of my degree and I figured it would be the perfect time for a restart. A few things will change, some won't but either way. Littoh take two...
